What verification will mean here
When a business shows as verified on Domifyr, it will mean exactly this, checked by a person: their statutory register entry where the trade has one (Gas Safe for gas work, NICEIC or NAPIT for electrical self-certification), a current public liability insurance document, and confirmation the business is who the listing says it is. Nothing more will be implied, and the criteria on this page will be updated before the meaning ever changes.
What the listings are meanwhile
Every listing is compiled from public Google Places data. The ratings and review counts are Google's, collected by Google from its reviewers — we display them unaltered and we do not verify the businesses behind them. Where a trade has an official register, every page links it so you can check a tradesperson yourself in about a minute, which is more protection than any badge we could print.
Why publish a zero
Because the alternative is what the rest of the category does: sell the word. A platform whose revenue depends on “vetted” membership cannot publish a page like this one without putting a number on its own claim. We can, because our position doesn't depend on you believing a tick — it depends on you seeing the evidence and checking it yourself.
