Domifyr Ltd (“Domifyr”, “we”) operates the domifyr.com website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Domifyr Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our registered office and contact details are on the Contact page. The Data Controller for the personal data we collect is Domifyr Ltd.
2. What we collect
- Quote requests: name, contact details, postcode, and the description of the job you submit through the quote form.
- Business listings: business name, contact details, address, photos, reviews — sourced from public Google Places data or self-submitted by the business owner during the claim flow.
- Usage data: page views, clicks, device + browser info (only if you opt into analytics cookies).
- Saved shortlist:if you save businesses, those IDs live in your browser's localStorage — never sent to us.
3. How we use it
- Routing your quote requests to matched verified tradespeople.
- Improving the directory listings, pricing data, and content.
- Detecting fraud, abuse, or misuse of the platform (legitimate interest).
- Sending you transactional emails about your quote requests (contract necessity).
- With your opt-in consent: aggregate analytics via GA4 and PostHog.
4. Who we share it with
- Tradespeople: when you submit a quote, the details are shared with up to 5 matched verified businesses.
- Service providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Twilio (SMS verification), Stripe (payments for tradespeople), Anthropic (AI features). All under UK GDPR Article 28 processor agreements.
- Legal obligation: we may share data if compelled by court order or to comply with applicable law.
5. International transfers
Some processors are based outside the UK (e.g. Anthropic in the US). Transfers rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK adequacy decision where applicable.
6. How long we keep it
- Quote requests: 24 months from submission.
- Business listings: until the business deletes them or 6 years after the listing becomes inactive.
- Analytics: 26 months (Google Analytics 4 default).
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, port, and object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
